Grossary of Terms

• SR HARDNESS: Scratch Resistance Hardness

  The measure of how strong the scratch resistant layer is to permanent plastic abrasion calibrated by a sclerometer.

• VLT: % Visual Light Transmission

  The percentage of total visible light that passes through window film or a similar glazing system. A lower VLT percentage allows improved glare control whereas a higher VLT percentage offers more natural lighting.

• VLR: % Visual Light Reflectance

  The percentage of total visible light that is reflected by window film or a similar glazing system. A higher VLR percentage allows improved glare control and often displays a more reflective and/or darker appearance.

• UV REJECTED: % Ultraviolet Radiation Rejected

  The percentage of Ultraviolet radiation that is rejected by window film or a similar glazing system.

• TSER: % Total Solary Energy Rejected

  The percentage of incident solar energy (heat) that is rejected by window film or a similar glazing system. This value is equal to the combination of solar reflectance and the portion of solar absorption that is outwardly re-rediated.

SolarFree Window Film warrants the window film only and does not warrant against improper application and illegal installation or cost of installation.

SolarFree-branded Automotive Window Film is to be used in compliance with all applicable state or provincial laws. Any installation that violates state or provincial law is illegal installation and voids all warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to the warranty of merchantability.

SolarFree Window Film shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expense or cost caused in whole or in part by improper film installation, illegal installation, improper care or maintenance of the window film, or any problem other than defects in the window film product.

In the event, that SolarFree-branded Automotive Window Film is found to be defective under this warranty, SolarFree Window Film will replace such quantity of film proved to be defective but will not cover labor costs. Installation of replacement film under this warranty shall not extend this warranty or create a new warranty for the replacement film.

*The warranty registration card must be returned within first 30 days of installation to validate warranty.
